Altamirano PLLC is a New York practice devoted to representing investors — not brokerage firms — in securities arbitration and investment fraud matters.

The firm has been in practice since 2014, and it has grown almost entirely by referral from the clients it has represented. That is a deliberate way to build a practice. It means every matter is handled by the attorney you spoke to, and it means giving an honest answer about whether a claim is worth bringing matters more than the fee attached to it.

Why investor-side only

Securities arbitration is a specialized forum, and the brokerage firms that appear in it are repeat players with in-house counsel and outside firms on retainer. An investor bringing a claim once in their life is at a structural disadvantage. Representing investors exclusively means there is never a question of divided loyalty, and it means the work is concentrated where the imbalance is greatest.

What to expect from a first conversation

A first conversation is diagnostic, not a sales pitch. The questions will be about what you told your advisor you wanted, what ended up in the account, and when you found out. If the facts do not support a claim, you will be told that plainly — an honest no is more useful to you than an expensive maybe.

No cost, no obligation

Tell us what happened.

Describe your account, your advisor, and the losses. We will review what you send and tell you candidly whether a FINRA claim makes sense — including when it does not.

  • The case review is free and carries no obligation.
  • Your message goes directly to the attorney, not to a call center.
  • You will get a straight answer, even if that answer is no.
  • Timing matters — FINRA claims are subject to an eligibility rule and to statutes of limitations.
